Methadone is an opioid medication used to treat opiate addiction. It helps relieve the cravings of using opioids until a complete stop of the symptoms. Using a daily dose prescribed by our physician, Methadone helps individuals achieve and sustain recovery and to reclaim active and meaningful lives.

Methadone’s effects last between 24 and 36 hours, so it is essential to follow the doctor’s guidelines and prescriptions for a complete and successful treatment.

The medication-assisted Methadone treatment is indicated to people struggling with addiction from opioids. The most common opioids the medicate-assisted program is used for are codeine, oxymorphone, hydrocodone and oxycodone, morphine and heroin.

The methadone treatment at the Vegas Treatment Center is restricted to:

  • Any person over that is over 18 years old.
  • Must have an opiate dependency.
  • Must not enter the center while on any substance.
  • Must bring any other prescriptions for drugs you may be taking.
  • Willing to provide a urine sample.

Methadone treatment is safe as long as the patient is assisted by a doctor and follows all treatment guidelines from the Treatment Center.
